Scrolling through photos
looking for something to show
someone new I’m dating –
I come across a photo of us
and I look really happy.
I think I was actually really happy
a lot of the time
in our marriage
and I wanted to write you a note
to let you know
that despite what we said at the end
I did really love you
and I did have a really great time
being your wife.
I’m glad I’m not your wife anymore –
or won’t be anymore very soon.
But just the same –
it was fun.
